The impact of educational curricula on promoting sustainable development

Abstract EN

A field study to know the impact of educational curricula in promoting sustainable development, in which the researchers adopted the descriptive analytical approach.

The research community consisted of (514) teachers in secondary schools in Baghdad governorate.

The research sample was chosen in a simple random way with a percentage of (43.774) from the research community of (514) teachers and schools, and the number of the sample members was (225) teachers.

A questionnaire was built that included (36) items distributed among the three fields of study.

The researchers made sure of its validity and reliability.

Results were reached, the most important of which is that the social dimension ranks first out of the three dimensions, followed by the environmental dimension, then the economic dimension.

There are no statistically significant differences between the two variables (gender and experience).

The educational curricula focused on spreading praised human values such as mercy and tolerance, and rejecting division and differences among the members of society.
