Abstract EN

This study dealt with the poetic imagery in the poetry collection “Anta Abha” by the poet Muhammad Al-Amin Muhammad Al-Haadi.

It aimed at highlighting the manifestations of the poetic imagery in his poems and at understanding its origins in order to assess the poet's artistic and literary prowess.

The study attempted to identify how the poetic imagery contributed to enriching the poet’s experience in his collection “Anta Abha” and the significance of these imagery, their types and origins, as well as the most prominent characteristics and phenomena that characterized the language of poetry in the aforementioned collection.

The study adopted the descriptive stylistic approach (expressive), which embodies both scientific and aesthetic elements.

Through this study, the researcher sheds some light on the status and the level of Arabic poetry in Somalia and invites critics to pay attention to it.
