In the researcher's perception, the name Salem Marzouq Abu-Jaber presents itself in the cultural and literary events in Al-Mahrah because of a two-fold underpinning.

the first, him being a poet who was keen to participate in various events.

while the second is him being physically disabled.

the second underpinning manifested the poet's capabilities and his coping with the society's trivial attitude towards the disabled.

the poet also broadcasted this abundantly in his publications, which confirms the poetry's production from a contextual and a psychological motive reflected in the poet's depiction.

the study revealed the poet's keenness in depicting disability and rejecting it, at the time of the text's scrutinization, challenging himself and the society.
