Abstract EN

The study aimed to find out the degree of students' invol vement in the social studies textbooks of the fifth grade in the republic of Yemen for the academic year 2020/2021 through presenting the content, the diagrams and the figures, and the e ducational activities.

the researcher adopted the descriptive-an alytical method, content analysis card and romy's domains, it ems and statistical equations.

the results of the study show that the degree of content p resentation involvement for students in the geography textboo k reached (0.52), and (0.55) in the history textbook, which is w ithin the acceptable range set by romy, while it reached (0.26) in the civics textbook, which is not within the range, signifyin g weakness of the students' involvement in it.

the results also demonstrated a high degree of involvem ent of the social studies textbooks : geography, history and civi cs for students in terms of diagrams and figures as its degrees r eached (0.41, 0.5, 0.58) respectively.

further, the results indica ted a high degree of involvement of the history textbook for students in terms of the activities reaching (0.4) and a low degre e in both geography and civics textbooks reaching (0.24, 0.21) respectively.
