The ability to focus on relevant information at the present time for a specific goal, while preventing unwanted information is a cognitive control, and to build a computerized test with high validity and reliability for department heads to identify cognitive control, a sample of department heads in Iraqi universities was randomly taken.

A stratified number of (200) department heads.

The test is based on Badley's theory.

The researchers reached to construct a test to identify cognitive control that has high properties of validity and reliability, and it consists of five skills.

The researchers recommended that the Iraqi universities administration use the cognitive control test to test the validity of teaching.

The researchers suggested conducting a study to identify the relationship of cognitive control to decision regret.
