This research aims to know the effect of the active discussion strategy on the acquisition of the material of the students in the fifth literary class، In order to verify the objective of the research، the researcher advocates the following hypothesis(There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who study according to the (active discussion) strategy and the average scores of the control group students who study according to the traditional method in the post achievement test To achieve this، the researcher adopts the experimental design of the partial control، which is the design of the experimental and the Preparatory school of Sayyid al-Shuhada for boys، as well as the experimental and control groups for the purpose of applying the experiment، as the sample consists of (64) students، with (32) students for the experimental group.
