ر.تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التقصي في تغطية الحالة الأولى لفيروس كورونا الجديد في الأردن في وسائل الإعلام العربية المحلية وغير المحلية.
كما تلقي الضوء على الأيديولوجيات المحتملة التي تنعكس في عناوين الأخبار والمقالات المختارة.
لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم تحليل 22 مقالا إخباريا من مختلف الصحف المحلية وغير المحلية التي تتناول الحالة الأولى لفيروس كورونا الجديد في الأردن في 2 و3 مارس 2020 في ضوء نموذج فان دايك (2006) لتحليل الخطاب النقدي.
أظهرت النتائج أن عناوين الأخبار والمقالات غير المحلية تتضمن كلمات ذات دلالات سلبية قد تثير الاستياء وتنشر الذعر بين المواطنين.
بينما في وسائل الإعلام المحلية، تم استخدام كلمات وعبارات مطمئنة من خلال التركيز على إجراءات الحكومة المتبعة وإبعاد الأردن عن البلد الذي انتشر فيه الفيروس على نطاق واسع، وهي إيطاليا.
توصي هذه الدراسة بضرورة ألا تكون منافذ الإخبارية متحيزة بل موضوعية.
كما توصي بضرورة تغطية تمثيل الحالة الأولى لفيروس كورونا الجديد في الدول العربية الأخرى في منافذ الأخبار.
English Abstract
This study aims to investigate the coverage of the first case of covid-19 in Jordan in local and non-local Arabic news outlets.
it sheds light on the potential ideologies reflected in the news headlines and articles.
to achieve the objectives of the study, twenty-two news articles from different local and non-local newspapers that deal with the first case of covid-19 in Jordan on the 2nd and 3rd of march 2020 are analyzed in light of van Dijk’s (2006) cad approach.
the results show that the non-local news headlines and articles include words with negative connotations that may create resentment and spread panic among citizens.
in local news outlets, reassuring phrases are used by focusing on the government's procedures and distancing Jordan from the country where the virus widely spread, namely, Italy.
this study recommends that news outlets should not be biased, but relatively objective.
it also recommends that the representation of the first case of covid-19 in other Arab countries in news outlets should be covered.
