Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى درجة تضمين مهارات القرن 21 في محتوى كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية للصف السابع الأساسي، تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم بناء أداة تحليل المحتوى في ضوء مهارات القرن 21، والتي بلغ عددها (47) مؤشرا توزعت على سبع مهارات رئيسة هي: (التفكير الناقد وحل المشكلات، الابتكار والإبداع، التعاون والعمل في فريق والقيادة، ثقافة الحوسبة وتقنية المعلومات والاتصال، ثقافة الاتصالات والمعلومات والإعلام، المهنة والتعلم المعتمد على الذات، فهم الثقافات المتعددة)، متضمنة في ثلاث مجالات رئيسة هي (التعلم والإبداع، الثقافة الرقمية، الحياة والعمل) وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن درجة تضمين مهارات القرن 21 في كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية للصف السابع الأساسي بلغت (1717) تكرارا، توزعت بنسب متفاوتة على ثلاث مجالات رئيسة؛ حيث بلغت في التعلم والإبداع % 52، وفي الثقافة الرقمية 24 %، وفي الحياة والعمل.

% 24 وسبع مهارات رئيسة، وجاءت مرتبة تنازليا كالآتي: التفكير الناقد وحل المشكلات حيث بلغت 23 %، وثقافة الاتصالات والمعلومات والإعلام 20 %، والتعاون والعمل في الفريق والقيادة 16 %، والتعلم المعتمد على الذات % 14، والابتكار والإبداع 13 %، وفهم الثقافات المتعددة 10 %، وأخيرا ثقافة الحوسبة وتقنية المعلومات والاتصال 4 %.

وفي ضوء النتائج توصي الدراسة بإضافة مدخل التعليم المبني على مهارات القرن 21 في محتوى منهاج اللغة الإنجليزية للصف السابع الأساسي.

English Abstract

This study aimed to identify the availability degree of 21st century skills in the seventh grade English textbook content.

analytical and descriptive methodology was used.

a content analysis instrument has been built in the light of 21st century skills and consist of (47) indicators distributed to seven major skills as follows: (critical thinking and problem solving, innovation and creativity, cooperation and teamwork and leadership, culture of information and communication and media, computing culture and information and communication technology, career and self-based learning, understanding multi-cultures), included in three main domains: (learning and innovation, digital literacy, life and career).

the results showed that the degree of the 21st century skills included in the seventh grade English textbook, has been estimated as (1717), distributed disproportionately on three major domains, which can be arranged in descending order as follows: (learning and innovation 52%, digital literacy 24%, life and career 24%), and seven main skills, which can be arranged in descending order as follows: critical thinking and solving problems (23%), communication, information and media (20%), cooperation and teamwork and leadership (16%), career and self- based learning (14%), creativity and innovation (13%), understanding multi-cultures (10%), finally, computing culture and information and communication technology (4%).

in light of these findings, the study recommends adding the entrance to an education that is based on 21st century skills in the English textbook content for seventh grade.
