Abstract EN

The gleam poem is one of the new patterns that have emerged in contemporary poem, and occupied a distinct space with its density, stenography and particularity.

Khaled Slevani is one of the few Kurdish poets who wrote in this pattern especially in Arabic language.

This study tries to seek out the aesthetics and functionality of the gleam poem in the (canes seeking to be a flute) poem collection.

This study initially aims to theorize the gleam poem in its concept and characteristics, then aesthetically detect the gleam poem in Slevani’s poems on a three-pronged approach.

First: Self-approach, second: Social approach and third: Political approach.

Benefiting from the different theories of criticism in its aesthetic reading without binding it-self to a particular one.

Hence, it seeks a reading that comes out of the text and returns to it with the goal of indicating the beauty and particularity of the gleam poem in astonishing the reader and taking him into the game of fiction.
