The article is about one of the modern approaches to contemporary Qur’anic Maqasid, which is the approach of Dr.

Taha Jaber al-Alwani, may Allah have mercy on him, who differentiated between the objectives of sharia and Maqasid (higher objectives) of the Qur’an.

thus, he departed from al-Shatibi’s rooting of the five necessary objectives: religion, soul, money, reason and offspring, by making them: monotheism, purification, construction, nation, and Da’wah.

after he settled for the necessity of making the noble Qur’an the focus of all sciences in general and derived purely for the purposes in particular, and he showed the forms of glorification that took place by offering an answer to every question about the question of renewal in the purposes.
