Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight some of the characteristics of the linguistic branch of Ait Sgougou in the Middle Atlas region.

It provides an overview of the geographic and phonetic phenomena of the dialect, and it introduces the neighboring tribes, which speak the Amazigh language.

The study then focuses on identifying the phonological features of the Ait Sgougou language dialect, by highlighting the consonants and vowels that make it up.

After that, some of the distinctive phonetic manifestations of the Ait Sgougou dialect were discussed, such as the trilling, aspiration, and lisp.

Finally, the study explores a grammatical phenomenon called "case" in the Amazigh language, which affects nouns and adjectives by changing their initial vowels, or deleting the final vowels of feminine nouns.

These changes occur in specific contexts.

Many researchers, including El-Mujahid Hussein (1997) and Fatima Boukhris (2008), among others, have studied this grammatical phenomenon.

This motivated this study, which aims to extract the different aspects of the state of the noun in the Amazigh language.
