In order to show and present the rhetorical significance and purpose of metonymy and its influence on the structure of 'aya' or verse in the Quranic discourse, the present study investigates how middle verbs are figuratively used.

The middle verb occurs many times with all its metric forms in position.

Since it is a phenomenon that affords itself rhetorically and linguistically, the Qur'anic text is a miracle for its style and statement.

There is also no doubt that verbal formula is very important in terms of meaning.

For this purpose, the researcher exceeds much effort to explore metonymy of middle verbal formula since anti-causative is a term through which another meaning is denoted and generated by making changes in connotation and eloquence.
