Urbanism is the science that involves in addressing the main objective or objectives which deal with developing and using the necessary scientific methods for the improvement of urbans and territorial areas and solve their issues.

however, the (Algerian) cities have not yet benificed from this scientific gain, and kept having a lot of dysfunctions which impose huge obstacles to the improvement of urban life, particularly, and the the development in general.

we suppose that the process of urban planning in our country faces a range of challenges which stand against acheiving the goals pursued within the programmed plans.

therefore, the Algerian city has been disadvantaged of this science.
