Abstract EN

This research paper aimed to study the phenomenon of addiction in the Algerian school environment, as a psychological disorder according to international classifications.

the study included 55 middle schools spread across Setif state, and the sample consisted of 972 professors and 1570 students, with a total sample of 2542 people, and the researchers relied on the analytical descriptive approach, and the study tools consisted of a questionnaire designed by the researchers, focusing on the following socio-demographic variables: age, gender, and the geographical environment, where it was built on 04 axes: - the first axis: the types of drugs scattered in the school environment.

- the second axis: the rate of addiction by sex.

- the third axis: the rate of addiction by age defference.

- the fourth axis: the rate of drug addiction by geographical environment.

the most important finding of the study is: there is a widespread prevalence of addiction among students, and the rate of addiction varies by gender, age and geographical environment.
