The purpose of this research is to know the extent of the contribution of Salama insurance corporation-Algeria-to the gross domestic product (GDP) by calculating the penetration rate, and we have through this study given an overview of Takaful insurance and economic development highlighting the relationship between them based on a case study.

as a result of the financial and technical weakness of the Algerian insurance market and the low level of investment, the Salama insurance corporation failed to explain its weak contribution to economic growth with the absence of the positive impact of Takaful insurance on economic growth.
