Abstract EN

The current study aims at identifying the level of exam anxiety among the fourth year middle school students and the differences in their level of exam anxiety according to the gender (males, females).

the study sample consisted of all 63 fourth year students at Ahmed Mikrani Middle school in Khalfoune.

the researchers used the descriptive analytical method, and the study tool was represented in the exam anxiety scale prepared by Spielberger (1972), translated by Abdel Hafez (1986).

after using the the appropriate statistics (mean, standard deviation, “t” test) by SPSS program.

the study found that the level of exam anxiety is Meduim among the fourth year middle school students, and there are statistically significant differences in the level of exam anxiety attributable to the gender variable (males, females) and for females.
