Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying reality of laboratory and experiment, or the so-called scientific activities in middle and secondary school education in Algeria.

to achieve this goal, the researchers adopted the descriptive and analytical methods, with a sample of study which consisted of pupils, teachers and laboratory agents.

this sample is composed of about 50 pupils, 50 teachers and 50 laboratory agents.

as data gathering tool, we have administrated a field questionnaire, in addition to a distance one, to cover diverse regions of Algeria.

the study concluded that there are many shortcomings and obstacles that limit conducting laboratory activities in educational institutions, such as: shortcomings related to pupils, and to the devoted time for experiment in the school curriculum, in addition to neglecting the practical aspect in achievement exams, especially the national exams and in the whole school curriculum.
