Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the academic procrastination of university students in the light of the variables of gender and academic speciality.

the study sample consisted 276 male and female students from science and technology speciality and humanities and social sciences.

the researcher used the descriptive approach, as well as the academic procrastination scale after confirming its psychometric properties.

the results showed the average level of academic procrastination among the sample members, and the results also found statistically significant differences in the average scores due to the gender variable in favor of males.

the study also found that there were statistically significant differences in the average scores of the sample members due to the academic speciality in favor of students of humanities and social sciences.
