Sports competition anxiety and its effects on senior basketball players' skill performance: case of study Annaba State basketball teams, over 21 years old

This study used the appropriate descriptive approach for this kind of research in order to determine the impact of sports competition anxiety on the skill performance of senior basketball players.

three teams of (10) players each made up the sample, which was chosen at random from a total of (30) players.

we used the questionnaire as a tool to gather information and data, and we processed the data statistically using percentage and K2, with the following outcomes: -if the level of anxiety during a sporting event increases too much, it will negatively impact skill performance.

-when anxiety levels reach a certain point during a sporting event, skill performance is positively impacted.
