The study aims to identify the level of mental health among patients with "type 2" diabetes, and the impact of each of the variables of gender, economic status, and social status.

when exposed to this type of sample.

the study sample consisted of (100) diabetics (30 males, 70 females), from different ages.

in order to achieve the objectives of this study the researchers were applied the mental health scale of Amin al-Qarriti, al-Sayed al-Shakhs, 1992, which consists of seven dimensions, the necessary statistical treatments were carried out to analyze the results of the study.

the results revealed that: most of the respondents enjoy low mental health on the study scale, and it also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the level of mental health among the study sample, according to the variables of gender, economic status and social status.
