In the last few years, many psychologists have analyzed children’s behaviors and their developmental stages.

amongst them, Jean Piaget who divided children’s lives into four stages based on his theory of developmental psychology.

among contemporary Arab writers, Bothayna el Essa has tried to shatter false illusions such as false optimism, blind trust and self-conceit in children through her stories.

this research, based on the analytical-descriptive method, tries to investigate the author’s narration based on the stages of children’s development.

moreover, it undertakes to analyze the positive and negative consequences of the stories on children.

the truths presented in these stories are not suitable for all ages, and in some occasions, can have mal-effects on children’s psyche.
