Abstract EN

This paper discussed an important theme which is “The Ruling of Prohibiting a Female Muslim from Marrying a Non-Muslim, and Its Objectives”.

under the Islamic Sharī’ah.

This was based on the contemporary wide openness on the global level, and for the various confusions and opinions as a consequence.

The researcher made effort to give an in-depth consideration of the issue in a way that would prove the extant position beyond any reasonable doubt, in order that clarification is made, most especially for the children of the Muslim diaspora communities living in non-Muslim countries, for them to know the grounds for its prohibition in our pristine religion.

For this reason and others, the research was prepared to illuminate its instances and consequences in terms of the Sharī’ah ruling, so that that Muslim progeny and honour will be preserved from any blemishes.

The paper is made up of two topics: the first: on the meaning of marriage, its legality, its ruling, its pillars, and its conditions.

And the second: on the instances of the ruling of the prohibition on the marriage of a female Muslim from a non-Muslim either initially or perpetually, whether the non-Muslim is a Christian or Jew or not.

And that this prohibition is intrinsically premised on preserving the basic and essential objectives that were brought by our great religion, viz.: “religion, life, mind, progeny, and wealth”.

The research made some recommendations, including: that it is imperative to give attention to the children of the Muslim diaspora communities living in non-Muslim countries in terms of connecting them with the Qur’an and the Sunnah, for the sake of education, preparation and enlightenment, and for the Fiqh councils to continue to carry out the roles it were saddled with in terms of studying the societal novel issues among the Muslim diaspora living in non-Muslim countries.
