This paper addresses the uses of geophysical techniques in archaeological research, having reviewed the general concepts of archaeology and geophysics, the most important geophysical techniques and working principles have been explained and simplified, thus linking the possible possibilities of the results and their physical measurements of the site with archaeological interpretations and conclusions, this revealed great effectiveness of the most important geophysical techniques used in modern archaeology, mainly electrical, magnetic, radar and acoustic scanning, as much accurate, integrated and comprehensive information obtained is collected with minimal effort and time, the contribution of these technologies is not only related to human material residues but also ensures full clarification of the environmental aspect.

in addition, it critically promotes information obtained through traditional methods and supports registration and documentation techniques.
