Islamic literary terms are among the terms that have imposed themselves widely in modern and contemporary literary studies, because they are characterized by Islamic values and have taken on new and different meanings than they previously had.

the Arabic language has become the medium through which these values are expressed and the repository of its secrets, considering that this literature expresses the identity of a nation that is linked to the language of the holy Quran.

its essence lies in linking this literature to the Islamic conception that elevated Arab thought.

in this study, we will attempt to uncover Islamic terms in the glossary of literary terms by Nawwaf Nasar, and examine the connotation of the term and its uses in the Arabic language.

we will clarify the new meaning that it has acquired in Islamic usage by identifying the linguistic origin of the term, and then focusing on the legal meaning that the Islamic term has settled upon in this glossary.
