Abstract EN

This study investigates the contributions of school sports in selecting talented pupils and directing them to sports clubs based on the teachers point of view for the category (12-15) years.

the study used the descriptive approach, and the research community was represented by middle school teachers.

and its sample includes (42) teachers of physical education and sports from the middle school and the study implements a questionnaire on the contributions of school sports in selecting talented pupils and directing them to sports clubs based on the teachers point of view in Tissmssilt state.

moreover, the major results of the study conduct that there is a total ignorance of following the scientific basis in selecting the talented pupils from middle school physical education and sports teachers.

and instead of following those scientific bases the selection was much more based on spontaneous and subjective basis.

and it conducts also; the organization of internal and external school sports competitions has a positive effect in selecting talented pupils and directing them to sports clubs.
