By the second half of the nineteenth century, the Tijani method moved to west Africa to then enter into a major religious and political sparring with the capable method that preceded it for the region over two centuries.

and yet, thanks to the efforts of many scholars, advocates and traders, the two methods have enlarged and strengthened the grassroots of Islam and Arab culture among the population.

but because of the unprecedented setback to Islam during the 19th century in west Africa the French invaders and their pagan supporters sought to fill the vacuum, wrestle pioneering and social and political influence from Muslims and bring the region's inhabitants into a spiral of inertia, intellectual decline and spiritual bankruptcy, this spiritual apostasy was shown by several figures of reform and jihad to cut the way for their expansionist schemes and to criticize African communities with pen and sword from their pagan and Christian clutches.

and one of the most prominent figures who took on this task and took from some social, political, external intellectual and local elements was Sindh and a way to make his jihadist movement succeed in pushing back against the pagans and French.
