Personality disorders, like other mental disorders, are painful and expensive on a personal or social level, as they make the individual suffer a general disability, and in the past few years this disorder has taken increasing attention from researchers and psychologists, researching its etiology, origin, and development as we know, whenever the disorder is diagnosed early and before it becomes rooted and solid, the treatment is effective, but this does not apply to personality disorders, as we find that all known classifications of mental disorders do not favor the diagnosis of personality disorder before adulthood, except for some personality disorders can be diagnosed in late adolescence..

through this paper, we will try to raise the question about the beginning of the appearance of personality disorders in childhood and adolescence, and some clinical researchers have pointed to the idea that personality disorders can be diagnosed before adulthood, or at least the pre-symptoms of this disorder in its early stages, by conducting several longitudinal sequential studies over time, about the normal or pathological development of personality, through which they reached results that may support their idea of early diagnosis of this disorder.
