The research dealt with textual approaches in analyzing the poetry of Badr Shakir al-Sayyab, relying on a comprehensive treatment of the significance of the literary text, and understanding its multiple levels (morphological, syntactic, and semantic).

in revealing the semantic process, it followed the pattern and functions that Pirce relied on in the final interpreter to explain the analysis of the text in light of this interpreter is based on his theory of levels of interpretation.

the research consists of an introduction and four sections.

as for the introduction, it deals with levels of interpretation and Peirce's theory of the interpreter.

the first section dealt with : the psychological function concerned with studying the psychological state controlling the poet.

the second topic is the existential function of revealing the essence and concepts expressed in texts.

the third topic is the aesthetic function through mechanisms that express the poet's abilities and his skill in photography.

the fourth topic : the ideological function that links literature and doctrinal or political tendencies, or other tendencies in the poetry of Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab.

the conclusion came with the most important results : that the final interpreter is the third stage of the stages of interpreting signs, after the two interpreters : direct and dynamic.

the final interpreter also relied on a set of functions that relate to the meaning of signs from multiple perspectives : psychological, existential, aesthetic, and sectarian (ideological) doctrine.
