The Tunisian oases are distinguished by the richness of their heritage, both tangible and intangible, in terms of traditions, products and social characteristics that can be invested to create sustainable development by valuing it in the service of the tourism field in these papers, we seek to introduce the concepts of tourism, its objectives, and its role in advancing sustainable development.

then we focused on introducing the “Banga” bands, their characteristics, instruments, and rituals.

finally, we had linked the characteristics of this intangible heritage and ways to invest it in the tourism fields to achieve sustainable development.

in our research, we relied on studies concerning with cultural policies and tourism development, and on our field work on “Banga” music in the oases of Tozeur and the mining basin through this research, we have come up with a vision that enables us to exploit a socio-cultural activity to build a sustainable development tourism model.
