Abstract EN

In this research, I reviewed a number of views of the scholar Muhammad AlTaher Ibn Ashour, in his interpretation of some verses from Surat Al-Nur.

In his views it appears clearly that he considered the purposes, and benefited from them in his statements and from the differences that are presented to him among the scholars, then he outweighed them with what appears to him in agreement with the general and holistic purpose of the faculties of Sharia, or with the partial purpose of the verse.

I made this into three sections as examples of that and in each section, there are two requirements.

The first is to define and give a glimpse of the purpose we are dealing with, and the second is to show the Sheikh’s consideration of that purpose in the verses he mentioned.

It is the duty of everyone who meditates in the scripture to exert the gaze, exhaust the effort, exert the energy and expansiveness in seeking the intent and the purpose of the lawmaker in his book, directing the meanings and linking the contexts of the texts that appear to the urgent observer to be inconsistent, weighing between what appears to be contradictory, and deducing the meanings or general meaning of the surah, and the compatibility of its subject with the subject of what is before and after it, and the separation of the intentions of the legislator from its provisions and goals from its legislation
