Abstract EN

Most of the Arab countries have begun to integrate their economies into the global economy, and thus their interest in the issue of competitiveness has increased, and the shift from closed to openness.

In light of this change, they must take advantage of the opportunities offered by this integration to achieve lasting growth and economic well-being.

Based on the foregoing, this paper aims to shed light on the analysis of the competitiveness of the Libyan economyand the strategy for strengthening it; within the index of the Arab Monetary Fund during the comparative periods (2014-2017) and (2017-2020).

The descriptive analytical approach was used to analyze the data and a set of results were reached, the most important of which are : The most important obstacles that hinder the expansion of competitiveness in the country are the weak feasibility of government performance in dealing with corruption, especially with the succession of governments in Libya during the study period.
