Abstract EN

The research dealt with the study of the distribution of the place of bridges and traffic on them in Nasr City neighborhood (east of Cairo), and their role in solving traffic problems.

the research showed that the intersections in the streets of Nasr City are vertical as they are planned, and Nasr City has suffered from many traffic problems because of the increase in population, the presence of malls, shops and the presence of many educational and government institutions.

the research relied on a field study by a working team, which limited the number of vehicles, especially in some points that suffer from traffic congestion, and focused on the two highest points in terms of traffic densities.

the study area included 56 bridges, 19 of which connect Nasr City neighborhood with neighboring neighborhoods, and 37 bridges within the boundaries of Nasr City.

the study relied on the standard of the ministry of transport, which determines the traffic capacity of the three-lane road with 1800 vehicles / hour.

by constructing this number of bridges, it facilitated traffic, and it became a free flow without any intersections of the main streets from each other.

a large proportion of this problem has been solved.

clearly, this problem will become clear again over the near term of five to ten years.
