Abstract EN

This research deals with how to manage ethnic pluralism through political engineering considering that ethnic pluralism is considered as one of the issues that lead to a state of political instability within the society.

it tries to find possible solutions to the main causes of ethnic conflicts within the Ethiopian society and possible mechanisms for managing diversity and societal diversity.

the study is divided into an introduction, three sections, and a conclusion: the first section is under the title of the theoretical entrance, while the second section deals with the conceptual framework of "political engineering and ethnic pluralism while the third section deals with the mechanisms of political engineering for managing ethnic pluralism in Ethiopia.

this study has reached several results, the most important of which are the following: 1- political engineering aims at settling and resolving conflicts, civil wars, building the state and institutions after the end of violent conflict, developing political representation, improving democratic quality, and increasing political participation.

2- political engineering guarantees the existence of political parties and civil society institutions, as well as the peaceful transfer of power.

3- despite the importance of political engineering in building and strengthening institutions and consolidating democracy, it is not a sure guarantee for democratic transition.
