The use of weak forms of English functional words as made by iraqi efl learners at the university level : a descriptive study

The current research paper attempts to investigate the capacity of Iraqi EFL learners in pronouncing English weak forms.

It describes the differences between strong and weak forms.

When Iraqi EFL learners have the chance to speak to native speakers of English, they find certain difficulty in understanding them.

This is because native speakers of English speak quickly and they use different varieties of language and different styles of speech.

So, Iraqi learners of English find difficulty in pronouncing weak forms.
