Several cities in the world, including some Egyptian cities, are exposed to heavy rainstorms due to climatic changes.

these storms may have a recurrence rate of decades, but their damage cannot be overlooked due to the heavy human and material losses they cause.

in this research, we study how to deal with the harmful effects of rainstorms for cities and the resulting rapid and sudden floods that cause many losses in lives and property.

that is by studying the means of green infrastructure as an approach based on maintaining the hydrological cycle of water in the safe management of dense rainwater and effective in urban areas.

the research concludes that there are promising possibilities for the application of green infrastructure means in new Egyptian cities, which may be exposed to those rainstorms, because of their environmental and aesthetic benefits in addition to being effective means of rainwater management and avoiding the bad effects caused by urban floods.
