The aim of the current research is to identify : 1.Self-defeat among students of special education classes.

The statistically significant differences in the level of self-defeat among students of special education classes according to the gender variable (males - females) To achieve the objectives of the research, the researchers used the descriptive correlative approach as a methodology of procedures, and the researchers followed the scientific steps in psychometrics to build a scale of self-defeat among students of special education classes based on Johnson's theory (Johnson, 2008), which consisted of (36) paragraphs in its final form.

The psychometric properties of the scale of validity and reliability on the same amount amounted to (200) male and female students in the schools of students of special education classes mentioned in Table No.

(5) in the center of Babylon Governorate, distributed according to the gender variable (males - females), they were chosen by the intentional way with a twisted distribution (extreme).

After completing the construction of the research scale, the application was applied to the final research sample of (100) male and female students in the schools of students of special education classes mentioned in Table No.

(12) who were chosen in the same way and the previous method, distributed by gender (males females) for the academic year (2021-2022), the data were statistically processed using the statistical package (SPSS) version (25), and the results showed the following : 1.There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) indicating that the research sample, students of special education classes suffer from a high level of self defeat.

2.There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the level of self defeat among students of special education classes, according to the gender variable (males - females) and in favor of males.
