يتخذ الكاتب المسرحي في مرحلة تأليف وكتابة النص أسلوبا خاصا به لتناول و طرح ظاهرة اجتماعية معينة و من بين تلك الأساليب، أسلوب عزل الممارسات الاجتماعية السلبية الشاذة والسخرية منها و محاولة إيجاد حلول لها بزجها في متن النص المسرحي الكوميدي و تقديمها عبر عدد من المواقف و الأفكار و الأساليب الأدبية منها كالمفارقة و السخرية و التهكم و يعد (بن جونسون) من بين الكتاب الإنكليز اللذين صاغوا المشهد الكوميدي بطريقة (التهكم) لطرح مواقف و مشاكل اجتماعية تكشف لنا عن نوع من الأحداث التي تلامس حياة الإنسان و مستقبلة و حاضرة، مما دعت الحاجة إلى دراسة النصوص المسرحية التي كتبت حواراتها بطريقة تهكمية، و قد تضمن الفصل الأول على الإطار النظري الذي اشتمل على مشكلة البحث التي صيغت بالتساؤل الآتي : (ما التهكم في نصوص بن جونسون المسرحية) ثم أهمية البحث و الحاجة إليه تكمن في دراسة مفهوم التهكم و التعرف على مرجعياتها الفكرية و الفنية و الفلسفية و هدف البحث في التعرف على التهكم في نصوص بن جونسون المسرحية و كانت حدود الزمان (1957-1633) و حدود المكان (إنكلترا) و حدود الموضوع (التهكم في نصوص بن جونسون المسرحية) أما الفصل الثاني فقد تضمن مبحثين اشتمل المبحث الأول على محورين الأول فيها تضمن دراسة التهكم المفهوم و المصطلح، أما المحور الثاني فقد تضمن مفهوم التهكم فلسفيا، أما المبحث الثاني اشتمل على دراسة التهكم في المسرح عالميا و عربيا، أما الفصل الثالث فقد تضمن مجتمع البحث الذي تكون من (20) نصا مسرحيا و اخترت عينة واحدة للتحليل هي مسرحية (الكيميائي) و كان من بين أهم النتائج : 1-أسهم التهكم في ضرورة المواجهة لكشف عيوب السلطة و الفئة الحاكمة و التعرض لسلوكياتها و أفعالها.
2- أدى وجود التهكم في النص إلى ظهور العديد من المواقف الغامضة و الالتباسات التي تمر بها الشخصيات المسرحية التي تمثل انعكاسا للواقع الإنساني، أما أهم الاستنتاجات فكانت ؛ 1- يتجلى التهكم بوصفه ردة فعل لانتقاد سلوكيات السلطة الغاشمة 2-النص المسرحي الحامل (للتهكم) أدى إلى الانفتاح الواسع على عدد من الدلالات الرمزية التي تقود للوصول إلى عدد من المعاني و الصور الذهنية و الأفكار المقروءة من المتلقي.

Among the methods used for social treatment is the method of isolating abnormal practices and mocking them and placing them in the spotlight to reveal their negatives and thus search for solutions to them.
this is embodied in the forms of comedy that include irony, irony and sarcasm.
criticism of it, as Ben Johnson is considered one of the English writers who formulated the comic scene in a sarcastic way.
and for that the researcher divided his research into four chapters, which are the first chapter : the methodological framework of the research and it includes : the research problem that centered on the following question (to what extent is sarcasm achieved in Ben Johnson's theatrical texts?).
then the importance of the research and the need for it, then the goal of the research, then the limits of the research : temporal from (1957-1633) spatial (England) and objectivity and finally defining terms and procedural definition.
as for the second axis, it included philosophical sarcasm.
the second topic was concerned with studying sarcasm in the theater and concluded the chapter with the indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework.
as for the third chapter, it included the research procedures and samples, the research tool and method, and one sample was chosen, which is the play of the chemist), and the most important results were : 1-Ben Johnson's sarcasm is a case of treating negative and bad attitudes 2-Ben Johnson's ability to create a well-crafted sarcastic strategy that provokes laughter.
the most important conclusions were 1-find the successful alternative to sarcasm for all problems, even if it is mentally in the mind.
2-cynicism manifests as a reaction to every brute authority the chapter also contains a set of conclusions and then proves the sources.
