this research paper focuses on emotional intelligence as one of the dimensions of modern diagnosis that may help in identifying the personal aspects of the disabled that require support through counseling programs based on emotional intelligence development.

this paper presents the definition of emotional intelligence, measures of emotional intelligence, as well as the characteristics of an emotionally intelligent person.

after that, individuals with disabilities are addressed and the emotional intelligence scale depicted for people with disabilities is presented.
