Systemic housing means the organized provision of housing units with their services.

The problem of housing is not only about finding sufficient spaces for the residents of residential complexes, as it is a problem of an integrated system of services and housing represented in the foundation structures such as water, sewage, electricity, roads, telephones, bridges, tunnels, and community services, which are represented by educational, recreational, health, religious and other services.

The research came to study the systemic housing in the city of Basra, and the housing that was built by the general company for ports was selected, because it is the largest company in terms of the number of systemic housing built in Basra and distributed among its members.
