This research thoroughly explores a highly important old study on the history of the Zar while examining these exorcist rituals from linguistic, artistic, and folkloric dimensions and their impact on Egyptians’ mindset.

it traces when Egypt first witnessed these types of rituals and how Egyptians responded at the time.

the research also conjures up some fascinating scenes in which the Zar rituals were performed to highlight the artistic side in terms of the decorations, costumes, accessories, makeup, and the musical instruments used.

in addition, the research brings up vexed questions about the origins of the Egyptian Zar, and how it was artistically interpreted whether through paintings, or through movies and TV series.

it investigates if the Egyptian Zar rituals were precisely pictured in terms of the decorations and the costumes, which can play key role in portraying a more realistic zar.

or these scenes we saw in movies and Tv series were not realistic enough and many details were either summed up or omitted.

for this, the research will showcase some examples of Egyptian movies and TV series with some Zar scenes to explore to what extent these rituals were precisely interpreted, taking into the consideration the lighting as a key picturing factor as well.

as such, this research tries to find answers while providing a chronological order as well as philosophical and dramatic interpretations for the Zar and its artistic surroundings.

moreover, the research aims to highlight the Egyptian movie and series makers’ endeavors to give precise portrayals of the Zar ritual, assessing the cinematic or TV framing in the process.

for this, the researcher decides to adopt a historic, descriptive, and analytical methodology to trace the origins of Zar and the Egyptian movie and series makers' Zar interpretations, describing and analyzing some movies and TV series whether they successively provided the audience with a live realistic experience about such rituals or not.

therefore, the researcher has had some results, most notably focusing on the development of portraying the Zar rituals and the Egyptian Zar cinematography.

the researcher has also come up with some recommendations.

among those recommendations, she urged more focus on the credibility and the professionalism of depicting the Egyptian folklores in cinematography and TV shows in order to eventually provide a more magical privacy for the Egyptian artworks.
