Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the role of the social networks in developing the environmental awareness of the faculty of education students in Arish.

the researcher used the analytical transitional approach.

for identifying the role of social networking, a checklist was prepared divided into three sections containing the main three elements of environmental awareness.

the study sample included (248) students from the faculty of art in Arish.

the results of the study assured that the social networks affected positively in developing the three elements environmental awareness as follows,: 1.

the interest on issues and problems of the environment.

2.

the understanding and its includes the ability to criticize and analysis.

3.

the participating and contributing in environmental issues.

the researcher at the end of the study provided three main requirements to activate the role of social networks in developing the environmental awareness the faculty of Arish student, in particular, and the Egyptian university students in general.

included the requirements includes country, faculties of education and student.
