Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate the effect of a training program based on boosting intellectual awareness of a sample of female students at King Abdulaziz University (kau) using Kirkpatrick model for measuring the effectiveness of training.

this is done in order to reveal the satisfaction of the female trainees with the program and its effectiveness in boosting their intellectual awareness.

the study population consisted of a primary sample of (10) female students from both arts and law faculties, in addition to a second sample consisting of (200) female students benefiting from the practical practice of trainee students in the first sample.

a measuring instrument is constructed for self-evaluation of the female trainees in the program (the first sample); it is a questionnaire distributed to 4 levels according to measuring indicators in Kirkpatrick model.

there is another measuring questionnaire that targets the (second sample), which is consisted of the students attending the educational symposium carried out by the trainee students (the first sample).

the questionnaire was distributed to three levels of awareness : law, academic and cultural, which represent the basic approved levels of the theoretical content of boosting the intellectual awareness program.

as for the practical practice, its tasks are distributed to two parallel courses (scientific publication of applied research prepared by the work teams of trainees, interactive scientific meetings, symposia, lectures and dialogue sessions.

by analysing the evaluation results, the study concluded that the training program has a great effectiveness in developing the intellectual awareness as shown by the reactions of the trainee students and their impressions as regards the training processes, and as shown by the students' reactions in the second sample and their impressions towards the content of the symposium and methods of presentation and introduction.
