Abstract EN

The current study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a rational, emotional, behavioral, counseling program in reducing utilitarian thinking among secondary school principals.

The study sample consisted of two groups, one experimental and the other a control group, each numbered 7, the following tools were applied to them: Utilitarian Thinking Scale, an indicative program.

Rational-emotive, using the Mann Whitney test for independent measurements, and the Wilcoxon test for related measurements, the study hypotheses were addressed, and resulted in the following results: There are significant differences Statistically among the mean ranks of the experimental group's scores on the utilitarian thinking scale in the pre and post measurements after applying the program.

There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the control group on the utilitarian thinking scale in the pre and post measurements.

There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post measurement on the utilitarian thinking scale in favor of the experimental group.

The effectiveness of the rational emotive program in reducing the utilitarian thinking of the experimental group members.

In light of the study results, a number of recommendations and proposed research were presented.
