Abstract EN

The reality of educational Services in the country of Al-Muthanna governorate was studied to clarify their difficiency by comparing educational Services with planning and urban standards.

It became clear that it is close to the planning standards, as the (school student) standards for the entire study area appeared within the local standard for primary schools, but it varies from one administrative unit to another within the study area.

For secondary schools, it was lower than the planning standard.

The criterion (pupil/teacher) showed that the rate of each teacher to pupils in primary schools falls within the planning criterion, and this rate is lower than the planning criterion for secondary schools.

Whereas for the criterion (student- section) falls within the local planning criterion for primary schools, but this criterion is higher than the planning criterion for secondary schools.

As much it concerns the urban standards (the adequacy of school buildings), it was found that there is a deficit in the number of school buildings approximately (76) primary and secondary schools.
