Abstract EN

When one follows the texts describing the battles mentioned in the Bible, he will notice the extent of cruelty, violence and brutality in the practices of leaders and soldiers against the enemy, while claiming that this is a God order, in clear evidence of the distortion of these texts.

There were many forms of brutality in those texts even killing innocent women and children, genocide, and the burning of cities including them, then it came to mutilating the bodies of the dead in various forms such as : slaughtering the victim, cutting off heads, hanging them on wood and poles, open the wombs of pregnant women, cut off their infants, and cast corpses into the wilderness to be eaten by beasts, as well as deliberately destroying the property of the enemy; From demolishing homes and places of worship, burning property, killing animals, and evacuating cities from their resident.

This study came to shed light on these practices, and comment on them from two sides : the first judging on them according to what is stated in Islam, and the second is the extent to which leaders and soldiers today are affected by these texts in wars.
