Through recent advances in neuroscience and functional brain imaging studies, scientists have been able to learn about the various activities involved in the prefrontal cortex, as well as the neural networks it contains.

injury to these networks disrupts their normal function, often leading to what is known as frontal lobe syndrome.

therefore, in this article, we aim to define this syndrome and present the historical development of research about it, with a mention of its causes, and the psychology behind it at the behavioral, neuropsychological level, and then we will discuss how to diagnose and evaluate it from a neuropsychological point of view.
