تبحث هذه الدراسة التجريبية في تأثير استخدام تطبيق BBC LEARNING ENGLISH في الكفاية الاجتماعية الثقافية في مهارتي الاستماع والتحدث لمتعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية لغة أجنبية في الصف العاشر تكونت عينة الدراسة من 60 طالبة من الصف العاشر الأساسي في مدرسة أم الحكم الثانوية للبنات، في الفصل الدراسي الثانية من العام الدراسي 2022 / 2023.

وتكونت المجموعة أ (من) 20 (طالبة.

تم اختيارها كمجموعة تجريبية، بينما تكونت المجموعة) ب (من) 20 طالبة أيضا.

وتقرر أن تكون هي المجموعة الضابطة.

وكانت المجموعة (C) المكونة من 20 طالبة، هي مجموعة.

PILOT STUDY تم جمع البيانات في غضون ثمانية أسابيع.

وتكون الاختبار القبلي والبعيد من جزأين: أسئل ة شفوية تختبر قدرة الطلاب على التفاعل ثقافيا واجتماعيا بشكل مناسب في البيئات التواصلية، وجزء الاستماع.

تمت جدولة الدرجات وإعداده التحليل الإحصائي.

لمعالجة الدرجات الأولية إحصائيا، تم استخدام T-TEST و.

ONE-WAY ANOVA وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية في المتوسط الحسابي في اختبار التحصيل للمجموعة التجريبية.

وهذا يعني أن أداء المجموعة التجريبية أفضل من المجموعة الضابطة.

ثم كشفت نتائج الدراسة أن استخدام تطبيق BBC LEARNING ENGLISHإلى جانب الطريقة التقليدية له تأثير كبير على الكفاية الاجتماعية الثقافية لمتعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية لغة أجنبية.

وقد أوصى الباحث بإجراء العديد من الدراسات حول تأثير تطبيقBBC LEARNING ENGLISH على الكفايات اللغوية الأخرى.

English Abstract

This experimental study aims to examine the impact of utilizing the BBC Learning English Application on the socio-cultural competence of EFL students in the domains of listening and speaking.

The study sample comprised 60 tenth-grade students enrolled at Um Al-Hakam Secondary School for girls during the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023.

The first group, denoted as Group A, comprised a total of 20 students and was selected as the experimental group, whereas Group (B) comprised 20 students and decided to be as a control group.

Group (C) comprised 20 students and was assigned as a pilot study group.

The data was collected over a period of eight weeks.

The pre-test and post-test consisted of two components: a speaking test designed to assess the students' ability to engage in culturally sensitive and effective communication, and a listening comprehension section.

The scores were calculated and organized in preparation for statistical analysis.

Statistical methods such as the T-Test, and One-Way ANOVA were employed for the statistical treatment of the raw scores.

The study findings indicated a statistically significant difference in the arithmetic mean between the pre-test and post-test scores for the experimental group.

This implies that the performance of the experimental group was superior to that of the control group.

The findings of the research indicated that the incorporation of the BBC Learning English Application in conjunction with regular teaching methods significantly impacted the socio-cultural competence of tenth grade EFL students in terms of their listening and speaking skills.

The researcher has proposed conducting numerous studies to examine the impact of the BBC Learning English application on various language competencies.
