The Algerian people lived through a terrifying era during the black decade the so-called term of violence, which means lack of kindness, appeared.

a group of Algerian novelists, such as: Ibrahim Saadi, addressed this issue, who used his pen to depict the phenomenon.

the problem of our research came as follows: what are the forms of violent discourse in the novel the book of secrets? the aim of this study was the desire to evoke the events of the black decade and make them immortal in the souls.

we reached the following results.

we saw through the study that the novelist has succeeded in conveying to us the reality of the Algerian people, which was characterized by violence.
