Algerian customs continues to develop and improve the methods and quality of customs work and to meet international standards, by exploiting the best practices of some pilot countries in data processing and information systems, promoting the use of information and communication technologies and addressing the constraints they may face, it introduced a model in digital transformation by launching a new more efficient information system and equipped with risk management tools and a platform for the exchange of data and electronic documentation between various stakeholders in the foreign trade chain to address deficiencies in the customs information and automation system (SIGAD).

this is aimed at digitizing and facilitating customs procedures for economic operators on the one hand, and strengthening the regulatory role and developing ways to combat fraud and smuggling and serve the national economy on the other.
