it has had significant negative consequences for children's well-being, and is a violation of their rights as stated in international humanitarian law, human rights law, and Islamic sharia (law).

the use of children takes various forms, including their direct involvement in military action as child combatants, and indirect participation through support roles such as spying and supplying.

these actions are often accompanied by serious violations and crimes against children.

in response to this issue, many efforts have been made to combat it through international and regional texts, covenants, and mechanisms, as well as cooperation and coordination among them.

these efforts seek to secure complete legal protection for children in situations of both international and non-international armed conflict.
